The only sound audible was me tapping my feet recklessly against the station platform. I clenched my fist tighter the moment I had a glimpse of time. I had been unreasonably late to go home today, as an important meeting held me back. I sat all alone, waiting for my metro train to take me home.

The bright white moon, the tall green trees swaying from across the street brought a gush of calm, cool wind which on hitting my face had calmed me a little. Just then I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked behind, rather instantly. To my astonishment, there was absolutely no one. My heart seemed to have skipped a beat the moment I looked in front.

I saw a tall, dark glum faced man whose brown eyes were constantly fixed on me. Just then, a horn was heard. I stood up and started walking towards the door, trying to ignore those stern looks. I stepped inside the train. No sooner did the doors shut, that the man seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

The metro train seemed quiet rather empty. Unto my left, I saw a lady whose face was covered with a scarf unveiling only her eyes. She sat still. Flanking her sat two handsome young men. On my right, I saw a guy seated at the very last seat. A cold shrill ran down my spine, I looked again. It was the same station guy. He was stalking me.

I went and sat on the chair closest to me. Time seemed to have slowed down. The only thing I was wishing for, was to reach home as soon as possible. I finally gathered guts to look back again and see if he was still staring at me. And as expected, his eyes were constantly fixed on me. I felt distinctly uneasy.

The train halted; the second last stop had arrived. I looked back again. There was absolutely no one. A voice instantly made my head turn. The same guy was standing outside the train, peeping through the window. I could see restlessness in his face and eagerness in his eyes, he then told me to get off the train as soon as possible as the lady who was sitting between those handsome young men hadn’t blinked thence.
